Green Grove Church supports several Christian missions and missionaries that operate at the local, national, and international level, as detailed below. LOCAL MISSIONS Penns Valley Youth Center. The Youth Center in Spring Mills, Pennsylvania, provides 6th through 12th graders with hope, worth and friendship, and provides a fun and safe environment to encourage healthy habits and promote wise choices. NATIONAL MISSIONS Navajo BIC Overcomers Program. Ralph and Bonnie Yoder are working among the Navajo people in northwestern New Mexico through a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program directed primarily to Navajo men. This is a Bible-based, Christ-centered, 90-day residential alcohol and drug rehab program with a success rate of approximately 70%. It is a Faith-based program that teaches Biblical principles to help overcome the power of an addictive lifestyle. INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS God is Faithful Church. We are blessed to be partners in the gospel with our sister church in Swaziland (southern Africa). Heart of the Bride. Chris and Amy Zimba work with street kids in the country of Zambia, a place overwhelmed with children in need. JAARS. Jim and Heidi Mohney are stationed in North Carolina, and serve with JAARS (formerly known as Jungle Aviation and Radio Service). JAARS partners with Bible translation organizations (e.g., Wycliffe Bible Translators) to provide practical support to ensure Bible translations reach the peoples, tribes, and nations of the world. Such support may include transportation (aviation, land, water), information technology, and various media. Malayka International. Joseph Sserwadda Roberts is director of the Agape House Children's Ministry in Uganda. My Brother's Keeper Ministries. Gabi and Mihaela Visan oversee an orphan and kids camp ministry in Romania among the most impoverished. Operation Mobilization. Daniel and Hannah Noran are serving in one of Sweden's largest cities to plant a church and do street evangelism among the large multi-national community there. Youth with a Mission. Derrik and Vicka Nissley are serving in Vicka's home country of Ukraine in the schools, and are planning a coffee house ministry. |
